Digital Asset Management (DAM)

Pimics works with various types of documents, pictures, technical drawings, hazardous substance symbols, and graphics. Pimics recognizes any type of digital file (for example, PDF, JPG, MP4, and BMP). Documents extend product information, and users can continue to work with them by inserting them into a catalog, printing them, or publishing them to e-commerce channels. Like product data, files can be expanded with keywords, features, and text. You can import an unlimited number of digital files to all tree levels. Pimics supports connecting digital files by referring to another server. An additional Pimics capability is support for audio and video files.

Types of digital assets

  1. Documents: various DOCX and PDF files that can represent user manuals, booklets, and other text-based files.
  2. Pictures: files that can represent the real image or design of items or categories.
  3. Media: media-type files that can be used as product demos.
  4. Graphics: associated files for small pictures or icons.
  5. CAD Drawings: a special type of data with a different format than pictures or documents. CAD Drawings can be used to manage links to item designs and drawings.
