Enable Automatic Updates for Pimics

To keep your Pimics installation current, Pimics can automatically push app updates to your Business Central sandbox environment before they reach production. For this to work, you must authorize the Pimics Microsoft Entra app in your Business Central administration center. This grants Pimics the permission to manage app updates on your behalf — no manual steps are needed from your side after the one-time setup.

Authorize the Pimics Microsoft Entra App

You must be a Dynamics 365 Administrator or Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator in your Microsoft Entra tenant to complete this procedure.

  1. In Business Central, select the Settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner, then select Admin Center. Alternatively, go directly to businesscentral.dynamics.com/{YourTenantId}/admin.

  2. In the left navigation pane, select Microsoft Entra Apps.

  3. Select + Authorize Microsoft Entra app.

  4. In the Application (Client) ID field, enter the Pimics app ID:

    ac896827-5880-4796-8175-bf4bf73fbe7c

  5. Select Authorize. The app appears in the Authorized Microsoft Entra Apps list with Admin Consent showing a Grant link.

  6. Select the Grant link next to the Pimics app. You will be redirected to a Microsoft consent screen.

  7. A Microsoft Permissions requested screen opens for the app Pimics Cust. Env. Admin by Allium, s.r.o. It requests the following permissions:

    • Sign in and read user profile
    • Full access to Admin Center API

Select Accept to grant admin consent.

Once complete, the Admin Consent column changes to Granted.

Note

Pimics only uses this access to install and update the Pimics app on your sandbox environment. To revoke access at any time, select the app in the list and choose — Remove Microsoft Entra app.

Next Steps

After granting consent, contact Pimics support and provide your sandbox environment name and tenant ID. Pimics will add your environment to the automatic update pipeline so you receive new versions automatically.

Tip

You can find your tenant ID in Business Central by selecting Settings > Help & Support and scrolling to the Troubleshooting section.
