Publications & Exports overview
With the help of Pimics publications, you can easily prepare not only printed catalogs of all types, but also documents for e-commerce. In the tree structure of the publication, you simply place products in any number of product categories and related subcategories. You can link product items with appropriate accessories or similar products. Pimics then transfers the prepared information, for example, to Amazon or to the catalog's print data. Working with a single version of the data increases the efficiency of everyone involved.

Publication management
Publications are used to publish product data into various sales channels. Generating publications is based on set rules. Thanks to the rules, it is not necessary to manually select the data again; the tree data structure is created automatically. The main part of the publication is a structure in which data content for export can be managed. Pimics enables adding more levels to the structure and adjusting the order of each line using the "drag and drop" function. The independence of the data from the catalog ensures that users can update their changes at each stage of preparation. You can lock a publication in progress if necessary.
Versioning
Pimics has the ability to track versions of publications and the sequence of changes made. Any modification of the information in the publication is automatically populated to all your platforms like e-Shop, mobile applications, or printed catalogs.
Tables
Pimics enables displaying master data in well-arranged tables and generating it based on templates. Thanks to templates, a table with current information can be generated after the master data update without the need for complete recreation. It is possible to display, for example, product overviews, their prices, and features with values. Tables can also be edited manually if necessary.
Customer publications
Publications can be used in Pimics to generate specific offers. Occasionally, similar functionality is called virtual catalogs, where each customer sees a different offer. Creating such a publication allows displaying to a specific customer only the items that have a specified customer price. Offered items are defined from master data of the assortment that is available for this customer.
Sales and marketing channels
Before publishing products, you choose in Pimics which data set should be displayed in each sales channel. Data is chosen automatically based on user-defined rules. It is logical that an e-Shop requires a different set and amount of product information than, for example, a printed catalog or eBay. The user has control over what is displayed, in which channel, and can see historical data by using the publications.
Printed catalog
Pimics supports two types of catalog settings. The automatic setting type uses the uploaded data to place it in predefined areas. This template is used to place the data and there is no need for intervention from a graphic designer. On the contrary, a manual setting type allows a graphic designer to define individual data placement areas as needed for the appearance of the catalog. Pimics uses InDesign to design printed catalogs. This tool can be connected to Pimics to take over the data defined in the publication. If this data is updated, the data in InDesign is also modified.
Leaflets
Allium offers its customers an extension of the Pimics functionality with a component in which the graphic design of leaflets is processed. We recommend this extension for non-complex flyers and brochures.
e-Shop
Allium has customers with integration into Shopware, Kentico, and other systems. We provide an API interface for integration with other platforms. Systems draw information primarily from product data, including pictures and documents, current prices, and item stock levels. The information on the e-Shop includes a list of orders from NAV including sales documents. Of course, Pimics transfers the order data items back into the ERP.
Amazon
Pimics enables placing a new product or updating an existing, already offered product through the Amazon channel. In case of placing a new product, Pimics passes product information including features and pictures. Pimics ensures continuous inventory updates and inventory availability for this channel. Of course, Pimics transfers the order data items back into the ERP.
eBay
For the sales channel eBay, Pimics offers support in processing various forms of offers including the possibility of re-inserting them without the need for new data entry. Offered products on this channel contain product data including pictures and descriptions. Of course, Pimics transfers the order data items back into the ERP.
BMEcat and DataNorm
Pimics allows you to export the product data you want to present to your partners, including pictures, documents, and customer prices. The data is processed in a uniform format that your partner can accept. This data can be sent in eCl@ss or ETIM data standard and the BMEcat or DataNorm message format.
Excel
Pimics can work with Excel. The user can define headings of values in the file corresponding to the data structure in Pimics and send this information and then open it in the spreadsheet. Processed information using Pimics can be imported into Pimics again.
Others
Based on current integration, Pimics is easily expandable with new export and integration types.
