Upload multiple files to Pimics

In addition to upload digital assets directly to an individual item or category, you can also upload files in bulk to Pimics without immediately assigning them to entities:

  1. Navigate to Worksheets > Upload Document Worksheet.
  2. Drag and drop one file or a group of selected files into Upload New Files, or select this area to choose files from File Explorer.
  3. When the upload is complete, you will see the newly created documents in the lower part of the window.
  4. To assign created pictures or documents to specific items or categories:
    • 4.1. Select the created lines in the lower group.
    • 4.2. In the action bar, choose Assign.
    • 4.3. Select the entity type from the dropdown.
    • 4.4. Select one or more entities from the list.
    • 4.5. Choose OK to complete the assignment.
  5. To perform other actions on uploaded files (for example, open or download), go to Home in the action bar.
Note

When files are uploaded through Pimics (PIMX), the system assigns generated file names (for example, names starting with P for pictures or D for documents, often based on the document ID). As a result, the original file name (such as an article number included) would no longer be available for automatic assignment rules.

Files uploaded through Pimics are still stored directly in SharePoint at the top level of the selected library and are not automatically sorted into specific picture or document subfolders.
