Pimics

Pimics is a PIM (Product Information Management) extension for Microsoft Business Central. It is available for SaaS/Cloud through AppSource and also to on-premise.

With Pimics you achieve the acceleration and simplification of data preparation for partners or sales channels. This solution will help you reduce costs in the supply chain thanks to streamlining the creation of the basics you already use in sales and marketing processes.

The solution consists of several separate modules with functionalities covering Product Data Management, Digital Asset Management, Quality Management, Publication Management, and Vendor Catalog. Pimics enables users to process both the content and the structure of information completely in Business Central. It increases the reliability of accessing basic data and thus allows the operation of the ERP system to be more stable. Pimics not only eliminates errors caused by accidental or incomplete data interferences but also ensures stability and accuracy of the information for graphics processing and printing, automated e-shop generation and electronic data exchange with partners, as well as integration with e-commerce platforms.

What is the difference between Pimics and other PIM

Pimics is shortcut for Product Information Management for Microsoft Dynamics. It means that Pimics use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as a platform that is extended by PIM functionality. All data is stored in Business Central Database, users use the same interface as they know from Business Central and they can use features like permissions, Excel integration, API as in the standard Business Central.

Pictures, documents and other digital assets are usually managed somewhere else (for example SharePoint). Because they are so complex types and they can dramatically increase the size of the Business Central database.
